beautiful chaos in progress

I had no idea it would be so difficult to find a hobby. Something I could call a passion. I tried sewing, singing, cross stitch, crocheting, cooking, baking, stand up comedy, even gardening (just kidding, I don't like the dirt & bugs).

Little did I know, my hobby - this passion I relentlessly searched for - was hidden in a messy cup, full of lush colorful paint.

At first it was a colossal mess... OK, even now it's a colossal mess. But it's a gorgeous, divine, beautiful mess, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Creativity Runs in the Family

I come from a creative family. My mom can quilt magnificent art from scraps of fabric, my sister can cook just about anything & her holiday cookies are second to none, my dad could turn an ordinary piece of wood into something spectacular, and me... well, let's just say I have spent a great deal of time looking for my creative outlet.

After years of failing at nearly every hobby I tried (oh did I fail), I finally found my heart, soul, and passion, in paint. Painting is relaxing, fun, messy, and it gives me an opportunity to creatively manage life’s challenges.

In 2018, I mustered up the courage to start exhibiting and selling my work; mostly because painting had taken over every inch of space in my apartment. I now participate in larger art events and paint custom pieces for destinations throughout the country.

Just a peek...

My dad once said: "Kid, no matter what, you should always have a passion. Be passionate about something, anything."

Well, Dad, I finally found my something!
